Last night around 6:40PM, my sister texted me a picture of her knitting and a message saying something like, "Aw Hell! I gotta rip it out again. Something went wrong."
Unfortunately, I was asleep and didn't get to the message till 2AM this morning. Much too late to save her knitting.
She had dropped a stitch. Dropping a stitch is an easy fix. So drop away! In fact there is a whole fad going on using dropped stitches as a design feature in scarves, sweaters and mittens.
In the case of my sister's knit bag, a dropped stitch needs fixed. Here is how you do it:
Once again, I use my trusty crochet hook to manipulate my knitting. There is a tool out there specifically made to pick up knit stitches, but a crochet hook works almost exactly the same.
